Key Responsibilities

  • Advise on technical and policy issues related to audit, governance, and risk exposure.
  • Conduct research and data analysis to generate insights that support executive decision-making.
  • Prepare briefing notes and official documents including board papers, presentations, speeches,
    memos, and correspondence for the Auditor-General.
  • Represent the Auditor-General at official functions, events, and engagements.
  • Review documents submitted for approval and manage sensitive information with discretion.
  • Plan and coordinate engagements, meetings, workshops, and activities for the Auditor-General.
  • Liaise with organisations at local, regional, and international levels on behalf of the Auditor-General.
  • Follow up on delegated assignments and monitor due dates for reports and submissions.
  • Compile and maintain audit dashboards and project/audit progress trackers.
  • Monitor implementation of directives, resolutions, and the annual audit plan, providing progress
    summaries.

Qualifications and Experience Required

  • Relevant Master’s degree
  • Bachelor of Accounting or any other relevant
  • Professional qualification such as ICAZ/ACCA/CPA
  • Minimum 8 years’ experience in audit sectorwith at least 3 years at management level
